Amy Wickus (Baraboo), won 6-WIAA titles in 1988, 1989 and 1990 in the 400 and 800 meter runs.

Career Highlights: 2-time world team member; 4th in 1500m at 1996 Olympic Trials; 3-time NCAA Indoor 800m champion; 2nd in 800m at 1993, 1994 U.S. Outdoor nationals; 2nd in 1500m at 1998 U.S. Outdoor nationals; 1995 NCAA 1500m champion; 1993 World University Games 800m champion.

1996: bests of 2:00.70 and 4:06.64, also 4:39.00 (mile) and 2:37.43 (1000m)…4th in USA Indoor 800m (2:02.25)… 4th in 1500m (4:12.06), 8th in 800m (2:01.63) at Olympic Trials…ranked #4 at 1500m (#9 at 800m) in U.S. by T&FN.

1995: bests of 1:59.42 and 4:14.53, also 4:36.9 (mile)…won NCAA Indoor 800m (2:04.86); anchored 3rd-place distance medley (4:46.4 for 11:19.96)…won 800m (2:06.22) and 1500m (4:24.69) at Big 10…won NCAA 1500m (4:14.53 PR)…3rd in 800m at USA Outdoors (2:01.26)…4th in 800m heat at World Champs (2:01.38)…ranked #3 at 800m in U.S. by T&FN.

1994: bests of 2:00.60 and 4:15.94…won 600m (1:27.68 MR) at Big 10 Indoor; 2nd in 400m (54.58); ran on winning distance medley (11:30.03 MR)…won NCAA Indoor 800m (2:02.05 MR); anchored 6th-place distance medley (11:25.42)…won 800m (2:03.85 MR) and 1500m (4:25.97) at Big 10…2nd in 800m at NCAA Outdoors (2:02.70) and 1500m (4:18.83)…2nd in USA Outdoors 800m (2:00.60 PR)…ranked #3 at 800m in U.S. by T&FN.
