Cindy Bremser
Bremser never competed in high school track as her high school (Mishicot) did not offer the sport when she attended.
Cindy competed in the 3000 meters at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, finishing fourth, narrowly missing a bronze medal, the highest finish by an Americanin that event. Cindy also qualified for the 1980 US Olympic team, but did not compete, as the United States boycotted the Olympics in Moscow that year. At the University of Wisconsin, she became the first female All-American in school history after finishing third in the mile (4:42.80) at the 1975 national meet. Cindy is the only woman to win six Drake Relays titles in the 1,500-meter run. |
