2007 USATF Junior OlympicsWalnut, CA (7/29/07) -- The 41st USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships was held at Hilmer Lodge Stadium on the campus of Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California.
Several top Wisconsin high school athletes competed: On Sunday, Kaya Senaya (Brown Deer) finished sixth in the 100 meters while running the fastest time ever by a Wisconsin prep (11.78). This is the third time this post-season that Kaya has broken the all-time record in the 100. For the boys, Keith Ingram (Milwaukee Riverside) finished third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.68. Adam Hexum (Hayward) placed fourth in the 110 meter high hurdles running the year's fastest time (14.08) which is also the 2nd fastest ever. Isiah Gray (Brown Deer) placed fifth in the finals of the 400 meter hurdles (54.07) On Saturday, Isiah Gray advanced to the finals of the 400 meter hurdles (53.73) but he failed to move on in the 110 meter high hurdles. Adam Hexum did move on in the high hurdles running a time of 14.10. In the 200 meter finals, Keith Ingram finished sixth with a time of 21.57. On Friday, Kaya Senaya advanced to the finals in the 100 meters while running 11.79. For the boys, Keith Ingram advanced as well in the 100 meters running 10.84. Brown Deer junior Justin Austin failed to advance running 11.05.On Thursday, Keith Ingram ran 21.43 in the prelims of the young men's 200 meters - which qualified him for the finals. This is the second best time of the year and 13th best all-time. Kaya Senaya ran a very high quality 24.40 time in her heat in the young womens's 200 meters, but she did not move on to the finals.
